‘Lightning In A Clear Blue Sky’ is the first studio album in 12 years from the master songwriter Don Walker. Disc 1 was recorded at Headgap Studios, Preston, Victoria, February and April 2022. A week after recording the album featured on Disk 1, the band reconvened at Electric Avenue Studios, Sydney, 7th 8th and 9thMarch, and re-recorded songs 1 - 7 directly to a Studer C37 customised for 1” stereo tape. The exception being Empty Dance-Hall, recorded at Electric Avenue Studios, Pyrmont NSW, March 2022, and Damaged People, recorded to DAT in the basement at home, 2000.
